🙌 Pending approval of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, Samsung Medison announces acquisition of portfolio company Sonio, AI health tech assistant for prenatal care, to strengthen its leading position in cutting-edge medical devices. The closing of the transaction is subject to applicable regulatory approvals, and notably the approval of the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance. Back mid 2022, we co-led Sonio’s Seed round of €4m with Elaia and Bpifrance and pursued our investment during the Series A in July 2023 with European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) Cross-Border Impact Ventures.

Together with Sonio’s world-class AI expertise, Samsung Medison’s leading edge ultrasound systems will help bring to market breakthrough AI enhanced workflows and accelerate innovation in patient outcomes and quality of prenatal care.
