Jean-Marie Messier served as President of Vivendi Universal until 2002. Today, he leads his own investment bank , Messier et Associés. Educated at the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale d’Administration, Jean-Marie Messier began his career in the French Ministry of Economy and Finance before joining Lazard Frères in 1989, where he became the youngest partner in the firm's history.
